Arguably, Neil Simon's greatest and most hilarious of plays, "The Odd Couple" Tells the story of Felix Ungar (Cass Guinan), a neurotic, neat freak newswriter, is thrown out by his wife, and moves in with his friend Oscar Madison (Eddie Quinn), a messy sportswriter.

Despite Oscar's problems, such as careless spending, excessive gambling, and a poorly kept house filled with spoiled food, he seems to enjoy life.

Felix, however, seems utterly incapable of enjoying anything and only finds purpose

in pointing out his own and other people's mistakes and foibles.

Even when he tries to do so in a gentle and constructive way, his corrections and suggestions prove extremely annoying to those around him.

So how can this chalf and cheese relationship ever really work??...

This side splittingly hilarious performance, is headed up by a star studded cast of comical calamity,

which will leave you wanting more!...

With the incredible success of "Plaza Suite" earlier this year, Tallaght Theatre Group are proud to announce another incredible Neil Simon classic!

"The Odd Couple"

The show is currently in its pre-production stages and rehearsals are on going.

All is very much top secret for now... but tallaghttheatre.com can reveal that the production will run in late October with star studded cast led by Eddie Quinn (Plaza Suite, The Seafarer) as easy going Oscar Madison, with Cass Guinan (The Seafarer) as Oscar's socially awkward and uptight flatmate Felix Ungar.

This hillarious production is also rumored to feature performances from the incredible Roisin Reilly (Plaza Suite) and Martha Giblin (From Both Hips) amongst an even bigger cast yet to be revealed!

Also, mystery has surrounded the identity of the productions director, who is expected to be announced publicly in the coming weeks, but back stage gossip indicates that an old pro has returned to directoral seat!... We'll keep you posted on this as we get more info!

The script is being rehearsed, the stage is being built, the lights are being set, and we've our work cut out for us here online too...

As we prepare to introduce a few Tallaght Theatre FIRST'S!...

Don't believe us that this is one of the greatest stage performances you'll see?

Just listen to what the audience have said so far:

Just home from the opening night of "The Plaza Suite". Brilliant show. Well done to all. A really great night out. Will definitely go again later in the week. - Des Talbot

Great evening's entertainment :) - Patrick Sneyd

What a show! I went along last night and was so impressed by quality performances from the whole cast. The three scenes were brilliantly directed and the dialog was executed with wonderful timing.

I don't want to give anything away, but the tableau's that make up this wonderful play have elements of sadness, joy, cynicism and innocence, together with tradition and good old fashioned comedy.

Productions like this are the result of hard work and dedication, and this was evidenced by every single actor on the stage last night and of course in the work of the unseen directors who I am sure were peeping from the wings. Well done to all of you, I am now a dedicated fan and I look forward to seeing more productions from you in the future. - Valerie O'Neill Morrissey

See you there!
